As Managing Director of Filament, Joseph Polimeni’s philosophy sits at the centre of how the business operates. Leading an experienced team, Joseph has cultivated an enviable internal culture that inspires a proactive and forward-looking approach.

Joseph brings extensive experience across construction and infrastructure delivery, having worked closely with Tier 1 builders on complex commercial and residential projects. This exposure has given him a strong understanding of contractor engagement, enabling him to bridge the gap between design and delivery while maintaining buildability, programme efficiency, and cost control.
He has a proven track record managing projects from early feasibility through to completion, including the delivery of boutique apartment developments throughout Melbourne’s inner suburbs. His experience spans overseeing staged construction programs and coordinating multidisciplinary teams to achieve successful outcomes.
As Managing Director of Filament Projects, Joseph leads the business with a hands-on approach, overseeing project strategy, client engagement, and stakeholder management. He sets the strategic direction of the firm while remaining closely involved across all projects, ensuring consistency, accountability, and a high standard of delivery.
Joseph holds a Bachelor of Planning & Design and a Bachelor of Property & Construction from the University of Melbourne.
